He excels in delivering interactive solutions using Internet and communications technologies. Prior to founding The NewSof Group in 1998, Dan was a vice president and corporate officer for Lexant, a technology-centered population health services company that delivered behaviorally based disease- and lifestyle-management interventions. Lexant, which was initially developed within Monsanto Company, focused its services primarily on Fortune 500 corporations and large healthcare delivery systems.

While working for The Benfield Group, Dan served Monsanto Company as a team leader responsible for the initial concept development of Lexant.

Earlier in his career, Dan served as Chief Operating Officer for People Karch International, an international venture focused on diversified human resource services. In this role, Dan designed and developed comprehensive health and work-life programs for large health care, corporate, and government institutions. He also developed information and software systems to support outcomes measurement. In addition, he developed specific health risk intervention programs for commercial and corporate distribution.

Dan has a PhD in educational administration and a master's degree in health management from The American University, where he directed extensive research on the economic impacts of worksite health promotion.

He is a frequent presenter at national and international forums and has been recognized and commended by the U.S. Army Materiel Command, the National Center for Health/Fitness, and The American University for his contributions to health promotion.
