Lara Fabans
Development Program Manager
Lara brings a wealth problem-solving and technical skills to The NewSof Group. Prior to joining NewSof, she served as the technical project manager for Creating Healthy Schools, as well as being a programmer for the organization’s Web site. Lara has worked at Adobe, Silicon Graphics, and Apple Computer as a technical support engineer, project manager, and computer scientist working with MacOS, Windows, and five flavors of UNIX. Her experience includes providing services such as technical support on device drivers using C, writing perl test harnesses, scheduling and creating SGML information tools, and writing stubs and drivers in C++. In October of 1998, Lara created her own consulting corporation, offering consulting services in perl, XML, Java, HTML, PHP, ASP, and project management. She frequently has been hired by companies to analyze existing projects and create a schedule to see what it would take to complete a working Web application.
Lara holds a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. She is currently working on a master’s degree in information technology through American Online University in Chicago. |
