The Arthritis Foundation wanted to create a greater sense of support and connection within the Arthritis consumer and physician communities as well as to enhance the relationship and bond people feel with the Arthritis Foundation. By enabling connectivity and communications within the context of a rich information environment, the Arthritis Foundation believes it will be more effective in delivering its educational and health promotion programs.

NewSof was asked to create a plan and specifications to create a strong community building aspect to the existing Arthritis Foundation Web service, develop a set of community connectivity and support tools, and support the ongoing operations of these tools within the existing Arthritis Foundation online service system.
